Increased reality (AR), still in the development stage, is going to be a great future technology for mankind. It is little or nothing but the view outside the window of real world environment (with some viewing medium) with superior or increased elements, made by computer imagery. In simpler terms, it makes addition of graphic information over the real world view. Another best example on this technology is its utilization in the air force by the pilots. Modern headgears that the pilots wear depend on augmented reality concept. Following the same suit, the internet giant Yahoo Inc. is also working on consumer augmented truth headgear called Project A glass. Although, still in research and development stage, the recent prototype of the Project Glass has received tremendous positive reception. The theory behind Project Cup is that it is going to run on Google’s Android main system, and will scan the real world with a camera to provide all the required information on the glass itself.
Apart from Google’s Project Goblet, some auto manufacturers have also started to shown keen interest in the this technology. Car manufacturers like BMW, GM, and Volkswagen have even analyzed augmented reality windscreen that not only displays navigational routes, but also exhibits traffic information and details about the state of the car.
